I can still see all the faces in these houses. Memories of place transcending the reality. Going home always stirs up the past and days like this one don’t seem to hold space for the current or future. Huddled in the back seat of my father’s car only adds to this feeling of past. I’m reduced to being a child even though I am in my forties.
