ABOUT
Nicholas Kremske is a contemporary mixed media artist based in the foothills of Colorado.
“I use photography to capture the places and things I encounter. In the studio I deconstruct and manipulate the images to create a representational artwork that aligns with the impact I felt from the place and object that I experienced. I use the influences from these places/objects and let them direct the art.
It takes a mix of materials and techniques for me to achieve the image I am after. I use vellum, acrylic paint and inks, digital printing, and collage to marry an image together. The process of building an image with these materials gives me the latitude to infuse a greater depth of meaning that I was unable to accomplish with straight photography.”
